Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Investwood SA manages the production, and commercialization of wood-cement composite panels. With fiberboard manufacturing experience going back to 1961, Investwood acquired a celebrated French wood-cement composite panel producer in 1992. Its products have since been used in many prominent international architectural projects. Investwood’s composite material is composed of a mixture of pine wood particles, and compressed dry Portland cement.
Investwood’s Viroc panels combine the flexibility, and durability of wood with the strength of cement. This offers a wide range of exterior cladding applications for modern designs. With their heterogeneous surface texture, Viroc panels provide the warm appearance of natural materials without any of the maintenance drawbacks. Free of volatile compounds, silica, asbestos, and formaldehyde, Viroc panels are also fire and insect resistant and impermeable to moisture. Available in a variety of colors, finishes, and thicknesses, the thermal and sound insulation properties of Viroc panels make them perfect for use on ventilated facades. They can be cut, drilled, and sanded, and require no special tools or fastening systems for installation.
